NRCS Staff

Ken Blazej started in the Kennebec office in the fall of 2008. Ken is a Conservation Planner. He transferred from the Penobscot NRCS office to work here in Kennebec County. Ken worked for a number of years in Penobscot County before transferring here. He makes his home in Dixmont and is a great addition to the office here in Augusta.        Ken.Blazej@me.usda.gov

Amanda Burton has been in the Kennebec NRCS office since June, 2006. She is a Soil Conservationist.

She started her NRCS career shortly after graduating from the University of Maine at Farmington with a degree in Environmental Science. She was hired as a Soil Conservationist under the Career Intern Program in the Farmington Field Office. Before joining us she worked in the Oxford Field Office. Amanda is originally a “county girl” and grew up in Houlton, Maine. .     amanda.burton@me.usda.gov

Mark Darlington is currently working with other NRCS staff in the Kennebec office. Mark started in May, 2009 and works part-time. He has recently moved to Waterville from his home in Maryland.

Xandy Brown (Alexander) has returned to the Kennebec office of NRCS. We are happy to have his expertise back after his short move to the Farm Service Agency in their Belfast office. We were lucky that a position was available again here in Kennebec.
