Maine Farm Days 2015

The dates for 2015 are Wednesday & Thursday August 26 & 27, 2015.  From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. See you there….

Come and join us at Maine Farm Days  August 26 and 27.  Only a couple days away.

Once again it will be at Misty Meadows Farm in Clinton.   We have left links to last year’s information so you can get a sense of what 2014 was like.

The conference is free but you need to to RSVP to Lindsay.Hodgman@ME.usda.ogov  by August 14th.

There are  “Pesticide Credits” available through the UMaine Cooperative Extension Service if you need those. The workshops will cover issues of

  • Pest and Weed Identification,
  • Plant Diseases,
  • Forage Quality,
  • Integrated Pest Management,
  • Pesticide Storage

Admission is free and open to the public.

The event includes activities for both farmers and non-farmers alike.  Including a range of agribusiness exhibits’, equipment dealers, wagon tours [this year’s wagon tours are designed  shorter and more “kid friendly”], children’s learning center, craft tent, farmers market and educational speakers and presentations. It is an extravaganza of animals, farm information, interesting people, equipment, food and entertaining displays.
