As new materials for this year are available, they will be posted here. The ‘vendor contract’ is available below. If you plan to be an exhibitor or vendor, you need to complete this document and return it to Maine Farm Days.

Final preparations are under way for the two day event.

–The forestry display has been moved and will include some added features.
–The “rainmaker” machine is back this year to help demonstrate how stormwater erosion can be effected by different types of ground cover.
–A “Robotic Milking System” will be demonstrated. A new technology which is pretty wiz-bang.
–One of the workshops will be on the Browntail Moth.
–And of course a whole series of other workshops are scheduled throughout the two days and are available to anyone wishing to attend.

There will be  “Pesticide Credits” available through the UMaine Cooperative Extension Service if you need those. The workshops will cover issues of

  • Pest and Weed Identification,
  • Plant Diseases,
  • Forage Quality,
  • Integrated Pest Management,
  • Pesticide Storage

Admission is free and open to the public.

The event includes activities for both farmers and non-farmers alike.  Including a range of agribusiness exhibits’, equipment dealers, wagon tours [ wagon tours are designed  shorter and more “kid friendly”], children’s learning center, craft tent, farmers market and educational speakers and presentations. It is an extravaganza of animals, farm information, interesting people, equipment, food and entertaining displays.
